New Magellan Affiliate, Magellan Project Services, Aims to Solve Distressed Real Estate Problems

Magellan and its principals have completed 20 projects totaling more than 6,600 residential units, more than 517,000 square feet of commercial space and have received more than 60 awards for excellence since Magellan Development Group was formed in 1986.
Magellan Development is currently engaged in developing the $4 billion Lakeshore East, an award-winning 28-acre mixed-use community rising near the confluence of Lake Michigan and the Chicago River. The community’s master plan has won a number of design awards, including the esteemed Prix d’Excellence International Design Award and more recently the 2010 Daniel Burnham Award by AIA Illinois.
Lakeshore East currently includes seven completed high-rise residential and mixed-use structures. Under construction are a 115,000-square-foot Village Market retail center and the first Radisson Blu hotel in the United States that will occupy 18 floors of the celebrated mixed-use 82-story Aqua tower at 225 N. Columbus.
